Overview & Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Veldon Technologies ("we," "our," or "us") handles information in connection with PromptKit, a Google Chrome browser extension ("the Extension"). This policy applies to all versions of PromptKit distributed through the Chrome Web Store and any other official channels.
PromptKit is a productivity tool that allows you to save, search, manage, and inject AI prompts into websites such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. The Extension is designed to operate entirely within your browser, without any communication to servers owned or operated by Veldon Technologies.
By installing or using PromptKit, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with its terms, please uninstall the Extension and discontinue use.
Information We Do Not Collect
PromptKit is built on a privacy-first principle: we do not collect any personal information, usage data, or telemetry of any kind. Specifically, we do not collect:
Personal identifiers — your name, email address, IP address, device identifiers, or any other identifying information.
Prompt content — the AI prompts you create, save, or manage are never read, transmitted, or stored outside your browser.
Browsing activity — we do not track which websites you visit, which pages you open, or what you type.
Usage analytics — we do not record how often you use the Extension, which features you access, or any behavioural data.
Cookies or tracking tokens — no cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or similar technologies are used.
We have deliberately designed the Extension to require no server-side component, user accounts, or authentication of any kind. There is no mechanism — technical or otherwise — through which Veldon Technologies can access your data.
How Your Data Is Stored
All data you create within PromptKit — including saved prompts, tags, titles, and settings — is stored exclusively using the Chrome Storage API, a browser-native mechanism provided by Google Chrome.
Your data lives only on your own device, inside your browser's local storage. It is not uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third-party platform.
Veldon Technologies has no access to, and cannot retrieve, view, modify, or delete any data stored by the Extension on your device.
If you uninstall PromptKit, all locally stored data will be permanently removed from your browser in accordance with Chrome's standard extension removal process.
Because storage is local to your device and browser profile, your prompts are not automatically synced across devices unless Chrome's built-in profile sync is enabled by you separately. Even in that case, sync occurs through your personal Google account infrastructure — not through any system controlled by Veldon Technologies.
Chrome Extension Permissions Explained
PromptKit requests a minimal set of Chrome permissions required for its core functionality. Below is a plain-language explanation of each permission, why it is needed, and what it cannot be used for.
These permissions do not enable Veldon Technologies — or PromptKit — to read your passwords, payment details, browsing history, or any data on pages you visit. The activeTab permission is one of Chrome's most restricted permission types and only activates upon your deliberate action.
External Resources
PromptKit loads the following external stylesheets for visual presentation purposes only:
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — used to load typefaces for the Extension's user interface.
Remixicon (cdn.remixicon.com) — used to load icon assets displayed within the Extension's interface.
These resources are loaded as static CSS and font files for display purposes only. No user data, prompt content, identifiers, or any other information is transmitted to Google or Remixicon as a result of loading these files.
However, please be aware that by loading resources from their servers, your browser may send a standard HTTP request that includes your IP address — a request governed by Google's and Remixicon's own respective privacy policies, not by this policy. Veldon Technologies has no control over, and receives no information from, those requests.
Beyond the above, PromptKit makes no other network requests, connects to no external APIs, and communicates with no servers — including servers operated by Veldon Technologies.
No Data Sharing, Sale, or Transmission
Because we do not collect any personal data, there is nothing to share, sell, license, or transfer.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any user data to third parties — now or in the future — unless the user explicitly opts into a feature that requires data sharing and this policy is updated to reflect that change in advance.
We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or any other commercial entity.
We do not process data for targeted advertising, profiling, or behavioural analysis.
If Veldon Technologies is ever subject to a legal obligation to disclose information (such as a court order or lawful government request), we will comply only to the extent required by applicable law. However, given that we do not collect or store personal data, there is effectively nothing we could disclose.
Future Features & Changes to Data Practices
We may, in future versions of PromptKit, introduce optional features that could change how data is handled. Examples of such features might include:
- Cloud backup or synchronisation of your prompts across devices
- User accounts or sign-in functionality
- Optional, anonymised usage analytics to help improve the Extension
- Team or collaboration features involving shared prompt libraries
Any feature that involves transmitting, storing externally, or sharing your data will be strictly opt-in. We will never activate such features without your explicit knowledge and consent.
This Privacy Policy will be updated before any such feature is released, and a prominent notice will be provided to existing users through the Chrome Web Store listing and/or within the Extension itself prior to the change taking effect.
Until such features are explicitly introduced and disclosed, the practices described in this policy remain fully in effect: no data leaves your device, and no data is collected by Veldon Technologies.
GDPR & Privacy Rights
Veldon Technologies respects the privacy rights of users under applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other regional privacy frameworks where applicable.
Because PromptKit does not collect, process, or store any personal data on our systems, Veldon Technologies does not currently act as a "data controller" or "data processor" in relation to your prompt data under the GDPR. Your data is processed solely on your own device, by your own browser, under your direct control.
Right of Access: You have the right to know what data we hold about you. Currently, we hold none.
Right to Erasure: You may delete all Extension data at any time by clearing Chrome extension storage or uninstalling the Extension.
Right to Portability: All your prompt data resides in your browser under your control. Any export functionality, if implemented in a future version, will be fully described in an updated policy.
Right to Object: We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling based on personal data.
If you have questions or concerns about your privacy rights in relation to PromptKit, you are welcome to contact us using the details in Section 11.
Children's Privacy
PromptKit is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not collect any personal data from any user, we have no mechanism to verify the age of Extension users. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise and guide their children's use of browser extensions and online tools. If you believe a child under the applicable age of consent has provided data through a future feature of this Extension, please contact us promptly so we can address the matter appropriately.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in the Extension's functionality, applicable law, or our business practices. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Publish the revised policy at the same URL where this policy currently resides
- For material changes — particularly those involving new data collection or sharing — provide prominent notice via the Chrome Web Store listing and/or within the Extension itself prior to the change taking effect
Your continued use of PromptKit after a policy change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to a revised policy, you should uninstall the Extension and discontinue use.
We will not retroactively reduce your privacy rights without providing clear advance notice and, where required by law, obtaining your explicit consent.
